HOPIE MOONEY sees children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She provides individual therapy, family therapy, parenting skills training, and couple’s therapy.

Therapy for children/adolescents: Helping children/adolescents improve coping skills and working with parents to improve their responses to challenging behaviors, improve communication with their child/adolescent, support the child/adolescent in their goals. Since children exist as part of a larger family system, Hopie often incorporate parents or other family members in treatment in order to maximize success. Hopie will work with parents who are struggling to better meet their children's behavioral and emotional needs. This may involve meeting for parenting sessions without the child or adolescent present.

Family Therapy: Working with family members to decrease conflict, improve communication.

Therapy for Depression/Anxiety/Emotional Problems: Working with the individual to increase self-awareness, improve coping skills, change faulty patterns of thinking and behaving that contribute to emotional distress, and empower the individual to work towards effective change.
